Last weekend my car, a BMW 550i xDrive, started to stall immediately after starting, with the car throwing a “fuel system malfunction”. I had it towed to Kerry’s Car Care, and after a $160 diagnostic charge, they figured out it was the fuel pump that delivers fuel from the tank to the secondary high pressure fuel pumps in the cylinder bays. It had completely failed and needed replacing. Now, RepairPal’s estimator said that a typical price for a tank fuel pump replacement for an F10-gen BMW 550i was $1700. Kerry’s quoted me $980, which I happily accepted and my car was quickly fixed and ready for pickup the next day. When I went to go pickup the car, they automatically knocked off another $100 without me asking, for a total price of $880 for what is typically a $1500-$2000 repair - incredible! My car started right up, ran smoothly, then I sent it on the on ramp and I felt all 450 of my engine’s horses restored. Amazing, quick service at half the price I was expecting. Kerry’s has earned a loyal, happy customer with me! Oh, and one minor thing I was impressed with was the fact that I could view all the invoices, their notes, parts, repair progress in real time, as well as authorize the repair, all online!
